How do you get rid of cellulite?

Creams?
Special brushes?
Laser or surgery?

Who honestly knows? I don’t.

What I do know, is that cellulite is not something to be hated, just like you shouldn’t hate your leg for being your leg. Know someone who doesn’t have it and you’re envious? Did you know that almost everyone is self conscious about some part of their body. So if you they don’t have cellulite, it’s probably their tummy or legs or ‘bingo wings’.

Yes, you can save up thousands and work on getting rid of your cellulite or wobbly bits – I know many people who have gone under the knife, or tried things like cryotherapy. And yes they worked, but very temporarily…

The real solution is actually free.. However most shy away from it, as it can be a difficult process.

It’s a habit called self acceptance. It’s where you accept yourself – who you are and where you are, right now. Getting to the point where you truly do accept yourself can be tough, as you need to work through many stored emotions, painful memories and even work your way through past trauma to get there.

No amount of money, and no type of surgery/shake/other quick fix is going to trump this one.

And I know it can be painful, I’ve been there before, but it is the most rewarding work of all.

I used to hate my body. I spent hours every day working out and days starving it to try to change it into what I thought I wanted it to be. All I really wanted was to be happy in it. I got sick of looking in the mirror and feeling like I was stuck inside a fat persons body.
I had to deal with many tough emotional memories, and now I truly appreciate what I’ve put my body through, what I’ve said about it, and how I hated it for so long. It is WAY stronger that I ever thought it was. No matter how poorly I treated it, it stood by me (or more accurately, held me up).
As I delved deeper and deeper, I learnt not just to accept my body, but to accept every part of me, and then to love myself too. Am I perfect? No. Do I accept that, too? You bet I do.

I know you wanted me to answer how to get rid of cellulite, but sometimes, there is no answer. Or just no answer yet..
Just know that you are not alone.

Move your body, nourish it, accept it and love it.

Say it with me: “The cellulite I have right now is the least important thing about me.”

Sending lots of love for a thoughtful day,
Deanna
